Supporting leaders to address complex challenges

Supporting leaders to address complex challenges

Humanity is faced by an unprecedented array of critical social, environmental, political and economic challenges. Many of our efforts to create positive change are progressing too slowly or even heading backwards.

After two decades of working on a range of social and environmental challenges, it is clear to me that our approaches to change are often far too simplistic and fail to address root causes.

Alongside my career in sustainability, I have also been a practitioner of Family and Organisational Constellations. I have seen how often the key to moving forward in our personal and organisational lives is to heal what lies behind us. I am now bringing together my sustainability work and the practice of Systemic Constellations as a way of working at a deeper level on some of our most pressing societal challenges.

Systemic Constellations is a simple but profound process that moves us beyond the purely rational into a deeper space where we can identify blind spots and acknowledge and accept hard truths. We can experience extraordinary 'aha' moments and shifts in our perception. It can move us beyond denial and wishful thinking, help us get unstuck and discover what real change is possible.

In the words of Rob Ricigliano, Systems and Complexity Coach at The Omidyar Group:

"Systems don’t just need things fixed. They need healing — healing of relationships, historic inequities, destructive patterns, and the environment."

WORKSHOPS

All of the following offerings are based on Systemic Constellations and are typically delivered through one or two day workshops and retreats.

Facing organisational and cultural shadows

Most change work is forward-facing - yet often it is unresolved trauma from the past that keeps us stuck, whether individually, organisationally or within communities and wider social systems. We use Systemic Constellations to bring a spotlight on to the wounds of the past that need to be acknowledged and healed before we can move forward more freely into a different future.

Healing people and places

'Truth and Reconciliation' processes have been used to good effect to heal societal wounds. In a similar vein, I offer Systemic Constellations to bring truth and healing at the level of community, city or region.
